Nefarian Down! - July 30, 2006

Tonight Black Moon Tribe and Shattered Oath have conquered the last boss of Blackwing Lair and one of the toughest bosses in the game, Nefarian the Broodlord! After only a couple nights of attempts the black dragon felt the wrath of our mighty swords (and hammers and spells and stuff...) and fell to our feet.

With this the Shattered Moon alliance has completed every end game dungeon we've truly pushed through. With last weeks Skeram downing we've already started progressing into Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, next up C'thun!

Emerald Dream Chronicles - July 29, 2006

This week, Thursday the 27th a new high quality website was launched for our server community. The Emerald Dream Chronicles website is lead along side with a new server radio station, eDream by a respected member of the ED community, Chindako. The site offers members of Emerald Dream a chance to chat, share pictures, participate in contests, events, etc... as well as simply have a place to keep up to date on important server news. One or two of our members even helped create the site so hopefully Emerald Dream Chronicles will continue to grow after it's succesful launch to become a staple of our server.

BMT and SO down The Prophet Skeram - July 23, 2006

Tonight's Blackwing Lair attempts were held off because of a disappointing raid turnout, so instead we decided to do some AQ40 trash farming. Little did we know over the course of the night we would build up a raid force balanced enough to advance. The trash was taken down consistantly with nary a hickup and Skeram bit the dust on our second attempt of the night.

Afterwards the raid advanced deeper into the instance, easily clearing the trash between Skeram's corpse and the "bug family" bosses hidden beneath the ground. A few practice attempts were made at them with more serious attempts coming when we get more Nature Resist gear crafted.

Wetlands Warband - July 18, 2006

Yesterday, Sunday afternoon, the Black Moon Tribe sent three Warbands out into the mucky waters of the Wetlands to hunt for Alliance. It was relayed to us that the human city of Menethil Harbor had recently become a large hub of trade for the Alliance between the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor and, while orc Juggernaughts and Destroyers had already been dispatched, the tribe felt it best to stir up a little trouble in the region if only to scatter the zone's defenses. The suprise attack was a success and many Night Elf scouts and Dwarven hunters were disposed of, the Black Moon Tribe even succesfully pillaged one of Menethil's prized passenger vessels before being forced to escape from the gaurds.

All in all the attack was a rousing success!

Tempe of Ahn'Qiraj and The Prophet Skeram - July 16, 2006

Last night, after running into a red/black combination for Nefarion (literally the hardest combination of chromatic dragonkin) the Shattered Moon alliance took it's hand at the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. The trash went down easily our first shot with nary more than three deaths a pull if any at all. Many of our raiders were able to walk away with new bug mounts for the instance.

The Prophet Skeram, on the other hand, gave us a run for our money. Serious attempts at Skeram will continue whenever a few free hours are available after a raid and when Nefarian is finally conquered scheduled AQ40 nights will begin to be set up.

Last Thursay, June 29th, the Shattered Moon alliance (Blackmoon Tribe and Shattered Oath) took down Ossirian the Unscarred as well as Ayamiss the Hunter marking the first complete clear of the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj. With this kill the Shattered Moon Alliance have conquered every single raid boss encounter in Zul'Gurub, Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair, and all but Nefarian in Blackwing Lair. Looks like Temple of Ahn'Qiraj may not be far off at all.

Tonight, in Molten Core, we were also given another treat, the
Bindings of the Windseeker! The item went to Learka, one of our Main Tanks. For those unaware the Bindings are one of the multiple pieces required to make Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.

Tonight the Black Moon Tribe, along with with Shattered Oath, have killed THREE new bosses in Blackwing Lair. All three drakes, Firemaw, Ebonroc, and Flamegor felt the wrath of the Shattered Moon alliance. This puts us ONE encounter away from Nefarian, the final encounter of BWL. A raid is scheduled tommorow, Sunday at normal time, if enough people show up Chromaggus will also fall before the end of the weekend and practice attempts at Nefarian will begin.

Screenshots of the three drake encounters will be up soon.

Festival of the Growing Sun - June 23, 2006

Last night members of the Black Moon Tribe held the Festival of the Growing Sun in Senjin village. Thanks to our long time allies and friends the night was a rousing success, a huge fireworks show was put on at the end of the night.

The fesitivities brought about some generally good roleplaying and Feelix has started a new storyline concerning her character. An epic battle with her and Sahnjin officially concluded the bash but party goers stayed around until the wee hours of the morning.

Tonight Blackmoon Tribe along with Shattered Oath (the other half of our Shattered Moon alliance) have taken down one of the hardest end game bosses and second boss in Blackwing Lair, Vaelastrasz! Congratulations to everyone of our raiders, taking down Vael with less than two full weeks of attempts is an amazing feat.

Afterwards, practice attempts at the Death Talon packs were pulled and we learned the simple mechanics of the "Supression Room". Serious attempts at them will be made sometime next week.

Razorgore Down! - June 04, 2006

Last night Blackmoon Tribe along with Shattered Oath (the other half of our Shattered Moon alliance) took down the first boss of Blackwing Lair - Razorgore the Untamed! After quite a bit of tries Razorgore went down with less than four total deaths. Congratulations to all the kiters, healers, tanks and DPSers for a job well done.

Afterwards, at about 2 in the morning, we went to learn the Vaelastrasz encounter and were able to set up a perfect tank rotation, Serious attempts at Vael will be scheduled for next Saturday (after another Razorgore kill of course).

First attempts at Razorgore... already at last phase - May 27, 2006

Tonight our first attempts at Razorgore, though not as succesful as our other attempts at raid bosses, was a huge success. While normally we clear bosses within the first night of attempts - Razorgore was able to hold his own through our beatings. That being said we were able to destroy EVERY single egg and initiate the last phase with 2 tanks up - a very note worthy accomplishment for our first time in Blackwing Lair.

Zul'Gurub Rite of the Black Moon - May 21, 2006

Tonight, before the scheduled Zul'Gurub run Black Moon Tribe held it's Rite of the Black Moon for the month of May inside of Zul'Gurub itself. Ish was promoted into the Tribal Council replacing Tarka, and the battle for Warmaster ended in a second term for Nang! Vaelaxzy even spoke of a danger that may, not only effect the tribe, but the whole of Azeroth. More details will follow.

One shot Ragnaros and Onyxia - May 20, 2006

Tonight Black Moon Tribe, along with Shattered Oath (the other half of our Shattered Moon alliance) killed Ragnaros on our first shot, with only one dry attempt for warm up (no potions, or long cooldowns). Shortly after the raid moved to Onyxia who was also, for the first time, killed with absolutley no wipes.

Drops included 2xLegplates of Wrath, Crown of Destruction, and a Malistar's Defender from Ragnaros plus a Helm of Wrath and Stormrage Cover from Onyxia. Various other blues and greens also dropped.

Ragnaros Down! - May 06, 2006

Tonight Black Moon Tribe, along with Shattered Oath (the other half of our Shattered Moon alliance) have killed the final boss in Molten Core - Ragnaros on our first night with only four or five attempts total. The Molten Core has now been completley cleared and gutted, this weekend every boss was taken down first shot just like last, except this time with a respectable 40 members. Congratulations to everyone in both Black Moon Tribe and Shattered Oath!

Drops from Ragnaros included 2x
Pants of Transcendance, Perditions Blade, and a Malistar's Defender along with Spaulders of the Unseen, Elder Wizard's Mantle, and some 9xEssence of Fire.

Rite of the Black Moon along with a new Leader system for the guild - April 29, 2006

This afternoon the Black Moon Tribe held its monthly Rite of the Black Moon where the new leadership layout we've been discussing for the past month (Read: April 3rd's headline) was finally put into place. The Tribe is now govered by a 3-man Council along side a Warmaster position and Sahn'jin on top as the Dark Elder. The three "Tribunal Members" are now elected officials and the "Warmaster" is a PvP officer rank achieved by winning a battle in the Gurubashi Arena. New rules and ceremonies have been added to give more depth to each rank and more responsibilities to each officer.

You can read all about it in the Tribe section where I have updated the page to reflect the new leader system and the new ranking up system. Also check out our Members section to see who was elected into the Council and who won the first Warmaster battle for the PvP position. Hopefully this new system will work out the best for our growing guild.

First ZERO boss wipe Molten Core clear (except no Ragnaros still) - April 29, 2006

Tonight was the end of our first MC clear with absolutley 0 boss wipes, that means one shotting every single boss from Lucifron to Majordomo Executus. More amazingly on Friday we were only able to muster 32 people from our pool of raiders, and only 39 tonight. This is, of course, along with our allied guild, Shattered Oath - the other half of the Shattered Moon alliance.

This is a great accomplishment that everyone should be proud of, especially with the speed that we clear through this dungeon now. Hopefully Ragnaros will fall to us soon, and then the entire Core will be ours for the taking.

New screenshots of the boss kills will be posted soon.

Rajaxx and Moam down - April 22, 2006

Tonight members from the Shattered Moon alliance, mostly Shattered Oath but a few BMT that were online, took down two brand new bosses in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj. Both Rajaxx and Moam were taken out either the second or third attempt with little problem. Serious progress was even made toward Ossirian but time didn't permit our meeting.

Multiple new screenshots were added to our Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj screenshot gallery

Onyxia Downed! - April 16, 2006

After tonight's scheduled Molten Core run members from the Broodsworn tribal Alliance took our second major attempt at Onyxia. The first attempt went absolutley flawlessly up until the middle of Phase 3 when Whelps were pulled out killing some healers. By the third attempt Onyxia was down to 1% with the entire raid dead save for our own Tarka who was able to pull ahead and slay her. Hopefully in the future we will kill her without so many deaths but the fact still stands that she is dead now.

Loot included a
Helm of Wrath and a Stormrage Cover along with some nice blues, Onyxia Hide Pack, and of course her head.

First Attempts at Ragnaros and Onyxia! - April 9, 2006

Very early this morning, after clearing through Golemagg and Majordomo Executus (with only one wipe on Domo) members of the Black Moon Tribe along with our allies from <Shattered Oath> and <Keepers of the Path> took our first few practice attempts at Ragnaros. We managed to get him down to roughly 75 or 80 percent before the sons were summoned. The first major attempt (where everyone is expected to have all their minimally required Fire Resist gear) is Saturday the 22nd.

After a couple of Ragnaros practice runs everyone with a Drakefire Amulet took their first shot at Onyxia. Since the first Onyxia downing isn't scheduled until Thursday, only 26 of the 40 people in MC had the key. Onyxia was taken down to 43% on the second shot with just these 26. An Onyxia run will very likely take place tommorow at the normally scheduled time to see if we can down her before the scheduled raid takes place.

Arathi Highlands Warband - April 8, 2006

This afternoon Arathi Highlands was, once again, a staging for one of our ravaging Warband events. After about an hour of scouting and hunting through the bulk of the zone a sizable force was met out South of Refuge Point where a hardy game of killing began.

Many thanks go out to members of <Sacred Hunt> and <Darkclaw Tribe> for accompanying us during our hunt. More screenshots will be posted soon.

Rite of the Black Moon in Zul'Gurub - April 3, 2006

Yesterday afternoon members of the Black Moon Tribe held their monthly Rite of the Black Moon in Zul'Gurub (the uninstanced version). New members were accepted into the tribe and others were promoted through the ranks. Officer duels were cancelled in lieu of a discussion on the reorganization of the officer positions and the possible formation of a council to help govern the guild. Many many members spoke and gave opinions, expect the Members Forum on our message boards to light up with multiple topics discussing this in the coming days.

Shortly after the Rites members from the <Dark Council> were summoned to Zul'Gurub to discuss the possibility of forming an alliance. By that point well over 3/4's of the BMT members had left, giving the meeting a more personal atmoshphere with about 6 members per guild present.

Sulfuron and Majordomo Executus downed - April 2, 2006

Last night two brand new bosses were killed in MC, Sulfuron and Majordomo Executus! The run was an amazing success with absolutley zero wipes before Majordomo. Sulfuron was taken out on the first shot and then multiple members turned in there Hands on the Enemies quest and recieved the water to summon Majordomo. Majordomo Executus is the last boss before Ragnaros and actually summons him for you. Attempts at Ragnaros could start as early as this coming weekend.

With only two bosses there wasn't a large amount of loot but the drops were great none-the-less. Azalin recieved the
Eye of Divinity from Majordomo to finally craft his Benediction staff and many of the BMT members recieved new equipment as well ranging from the Belt of Might to Core Hound Tooth.
